To stay comfortable and truly invisible, they also need regular, thorough cleaning. That is where many treatment plans quietly start to drift.
People forget. They rinse in a hurry. Over time, aligners pick up odour and staining. Something meant to feel clean and discreet becomes awkward. HCD wanted to shift that story with Shark B, a portable cleaner that stores aligners and cleans them properly at the same time.
Not another plastic tub on the bathroom shelf.
But a small device that makes daily care feel simple and worth doing.
Patients left clinics with advanced treatment plans and basic storage cases. Cleaning routines relied on habit, internet advice and the occasional soak.
The answer was not just a nicer case. It needed to hold aligners securely, add ultrasonic agitation and UVC cleaning, and be simple enough to use half asleep at the end of the day.
If care feels like a chore, adherence slips.
Make it quick and almost automatic, and people keep going.

One combines ultrasonic cleaning with UVC light. The other focuses on UVC in a more compact form.
We shaped housings, baskets and lids so trays drop into place without scraping or guessing. The lid closes with clear, reassuring finality. Internal geometry keeps aligners separated and properly exposed to cleaning action. Exterior surfaces resist wet hands. Charging uses familiar connections with status indicators so users know at a glance when Shark B is ready.
Designed for real bathrooms, real bags and real routines.
So technology supports the habit instead of complicating it.
Instead of leaving trays in a dry case or a mug on the side, users drop them into Shark B, add solution when required and start a cycle with a simple control.
The device handles agitation and light while the user showers, gets dressed or scrolls through the day. When the lid opens, aligners are ready to go back in with less odour, fewer deposits and a quieter mind.

For users, it protects their investment in treatment by making everyday care easier and more likely to happen. Aligners feel like part of normal life, not a constant hassle to manage.
